Specialist Subjects

The English National Curriculum includes P.S.E./R.H.E and S.E.A.L. goals and objectives to develop the whole child. The Personal and Social Education (P.S.E.), Relationship and Health Education (R.S.E.) and Social Emotional Affective Learning (S.E.A.L.) curriculum fosters important areas of a child’s development. We believe in teaching character at Phoenix. To fulfill the learning targets, we have a monthly school wide P.S.E. theme to further help our children develop knowledge and skills in these important areas: manners, social skills, friendship skills, problem solving skills, health and hygiene, safety, independence, responsibility, goal achievement, respect for others, and confidence. Engaging classroom lessons and activities, literature, videos, drama and presentations, assemblies, and whole school wide campaigns foster your child’s development in these areas.
