Children from Reception through to Year 6 participate in computing lessons. We work with each year group to ensure a steady progression through the curriculum. Children in all year groups learn about how to stay safe online as a major theme underpinning all learning and all technology use. Our Reception and KS1 children learn about what a computer is as well as what is personal information, algorithms, and bugs. They will learn how to use floor robots and create simple art and animation as well as developing keyboard skills and learning how to store information in a computer.  As children progress to KS2 we cover areas such as coding and algorithms, graphics, data handling, spreadsheets, presentations, how computers work, networks, understanding the web, using the internet, communication, programming, computer languages, making games and film editing.
