At Phoenix we take great pride in our performing arts. Throughout their years at Phoenix, children develop self-confidence through the many opportunities they experience performing on stage in our weekly class assemblies, and our concerts, plays and musicals. Children from as early as Pre-nursery Nursery participate in a performance every year. During the first term, children from Pre-nursery through KS1, take part in a recital of Christmas/holiday songs. Children in Year 3 perform a Christmas themed musical in our beautiful courtyard, accompanied by the school choir and the rest of our KS2 children. Upper KS2 children take the lead in a full length musical at the end of Term 2, while KS1 and Reception children take to the stage in third term.
